It is located less than a mile from beautiful Cedar Lake and Poplar Camp Beach. Relax and unwind at the local wineries. We’re in the middle of Shawnee Wine Trail in the Shawnee National Forest. Giant City State Park and Southern Illinois University-Carbondale are both just a short drive.

The lodge sets at the top Samsons Whitetail Mountain, with close proximity to Shawnee National Forest for zip lining, rock climbing, hiking, Tunnel Hill State Trail or Shawnee Hills Wine Trail.
