You got to check out the oldest bakery on the Gold Coast, it still operates by baking everything in a wood fire oven which you can still view behind the counter. Be early to buy their vanilla slices, or home made meat pies, breads and quiches.

The Mudgeeraba Bakery has been baking bread in it's brick wood fired oven for the past 95 years making it one of the oldest continual working ovens in Australia. The traditional baking skills and unique flavor result in a truly gourmet product. Also a small cafe and seating area. Beautiful pies!!
