My son can spend an entire day in the dinosaur rooms alone, but he also loves the Hall of Human Origins. Beyond the famous exhibits, the Discovery Center holds all kinds of hands-on stuff for kids—dinosaur bones, microscopes, archaeology. It’s all designed just for kids ages 5-10. Controlled, timed-entry keeps the Discovery Center from getting crowded. So as soon as you get to the museum, get your timed entry ticket from admissions. That way you can enjoy other exhibits while you wait.

If you have kids, you have to come. If you don’t, you do too. Wish you could sleep under the blue whale? Bring your 6-16 year old to an unforgettable sleepover (3 nights a month), or bring your over-21 significant other!
I’ve never personally been here, but many visitors and locals love to go see the different museums! I’m pretty sure y’all would enjoy this!
If you're kids are familiar with "Night of the Museum", check it out... It's close, but a bit too far to walk to. Free admission. Do not let them talk you into the $70/person suggested donation. Also, bring snacks... Cafeteria is a madhouse!
Simply take a train from Hicksville into Penn Station. Grab a train uptown to the museum. The whole world is at your fingertips! This is the most amazing place. The exhibitions keep changing! Great for the whole family.
It's just very beautiful! I love it...I can go there many days and still be amazed! I am in love with history.... this is a very beautiful museum and there's a gift shop store on one of the floors which has gifts for everyone and not expensive :) I hope you can go visit it too :)

“A walk, peddle, or carriage ride through the crisscrossing pathways of Central Park is a must-do on anyone's New York City itinerary. In winter, you can even lace up your skates and glide across Wollman Rink. This huge park in the city center, a half-mile wide and 2.5 miles long, is one of the things that makes New York such a beautiful and livable city. Besides being a great place to experience a little nature, Central Park has many attractions within its borders, and most of them are free, making it one of the few cheap things to do in NYC. Some of the most popular places to visit include the Belvedere Castle, Strawberry Fields, the Central Park Zoo, and the Lake. If you are exploring the park on your own, start by picking up a map at one of the visitor centers and plot your routing.”

“Their permanent collection is incredible, they have Starry Night by Van Gogh. Check their website for what's currently showing. They have free Fridays, so check the website for the time too!”

“An institution. For all art lovers, this is a must! Again, I like that this museum is smaller in size so that it's not too overwhelming and doesn't take a long time! Book tickets in advance online so that you can select your time slot. ”

“Something very magical about being at the top of the most iconic building in NYC, the World's most famous building with 360 degree open-air vantage point of Midtown Manhattan! On a clear day you can see up to 6 states.”
