My favorite museum due to its size, not too overwhelming! Great views and located in a beautiful park of the city, falling between the West Village and Meatpacking district. Lots of great places to eat and explore, I'd visit the Highline (outdoor park) afterwards! The Whitney is for American art,…

“This is a great way to see some of the city- this is an elevated greenway. One of the entrances is right next to the Whitney Museum!”

“Their permanent collection is incredible, they have Starry Night by Van Gogh. Check their website for what's currently showing. They have free Fridays, so check the website for the time too!”

“An institution. For all art lovers, this is a must! Again, I like that this museum is smaller in size so that it's not too overwhelming and doesn't take a long time! Book tickets in advance online so that you can select your time slot. ”

“A walk, peddle, or carriage ride through the crisscrossing pathways of Central Park is a must-do on anyone's New York City itinerary. In winter, you can even lace up your skates and glide across Wollman Rink. This huge park in the city center, a half-mile wide and 2.5 miles long, is one of the things that makes New York such a beautiful and livable city. Besides being a great place to experience a little nature, Central Park has many attractions within its borders, and most of them are free, making it one of the few cheap things to do in NYC. Some of the most popular places to visit include the Belvedere Castle, Strawberry Fields, the Central Park Zoo, and the Lake. If you are exploring the park on your own, start by picking up a map at one of the visitor centers and plot your routing.”
