About 20 mins away but well worth the drive is the most photographed site in Beaufort. This place is absolutely breathtaking!

Tucked away off a lonely road halfway between Savannah and Charleston, the Old Sheldon Church is one of the most hauntingly peaceful places in the Southeast. This beautiful old ruin is the remains of a church first built in 1757!

Oldest Church Ruins in America that has been continuously active up to today! Well worth it on the way to Beaufort!
