Great local pub - home of the BBC during the coverage of the winter floods - great lake views from December to March every year - and frequented by the 'Time Team' when digging trenches locally.

One of the best for food in the area. Only a 5 minute drive.

This is a really nice friendly pub that is approximately 2.5 miles away, if walking up the river bank from the cottage. You can also drive there and then go for a walk from there. They do great local beer and cider, and good family / traditional pub food. They also allow dogs, which is really nice. Its also really close to The Mump, which is worth walking up for a great view of the levels and a favourite photo opportunity!
