Scappoose Bay provides rental kyaks and the staff are extremely helpful. It's location allows for excellent opportunites to explore Sauvie Island inlets and wildlife.

We tried Scappoose Bay Paddling Center out with our kids, wanting to do something outdoors. They had our kayaks set up and ready for us, they gave us a map of the area and specific tips on where to go. We saw 2 bald eagles perched on a stump in the river, at least a dozen blue herons, as well as hawks and smaller birds. An amazing trip and will go back. Of note, they have "Half off Wednesdays." They also carry canoes, paddle boards and other equipment. Reservations are highly recommended!
