Getting Around
The Capitol Hill light-rail station is a quick 4 blocks from my place and very convenient to get to downtown Seattle, the International District/Chinatown, both major stadiums (Mariner's, Sounders, Seahawks), Seatac airport and the University of Washington! One way fare is $3 or less depending on your destination. You can get an all day pass or if you're going to use the light rail for a few days, get a re-loadable Orca card that is very convenient and allows you to transfer onto public buses. The #8, 10 and 43 buses all run right in front of my place.

Parks & Nature
It's a great, local park that also houses a water reservoir, the Asian Art Museum, botanical gardens and a greenhouse. It's a small slice of greenery within a mile of walking distance. As a bonus, there are great coffee shops, bars and restaurants on 15th to hit up on your walk back!
