A Seattle institution, one of the best bakeries around. They have a few throughout the city, but this is walking distance. On weekends they have a few added brunch items like french toast and bennedicts - order at the counter and sit down. It can get crowded on the weekends and can sometimes be slow if you order the brunch items. Bakery items are great too - my favorites include the morning glory muffin.

Great for happy hour especially on a sunny day in the summer since they have a small sliver of a back deck.

Nice little neighborhood park that has a swing set (the playground area was recently removed). A big hill overlooks tennis courts where a lot of people bring their dogs to play. Often times will see families having picnics here in the summer.

Best iconic view of Seattle - Space needle, the city, and water. I still get breathless everytime I run by. On clear days you can see Mt. Rainier in the distance too.
If you are here during Seafair, a great place to see the fly by of the Blue Angels!

Known to locals as "Big Howe" this is a great playfield to watch local baseball or soccer games. There is also a great playground structure here, swings, and a toddler structure as well.
