If you’re seeking total privacy & escape, this is it — perched high on the mountainside. This modular, hand-built eco cottage is full of character, with a super-comfy king bed, fresh air, birdsong, trees, peace, fire pit, hammock, and all the comforts of home. Solar, 12/240v, Starlink, and gas make it a cozy retreat. Perfect for stargazing. 4WD/AWD is essential for the track in, though a ferry ride up is available. FernyBrook Cottage, Springbrook, Qld, Australia.

FernyBrook Cottage is located right next to Purling Brook Falls and the walking trails and magnificent views of Springbrook World Heritage National Park. It is a quaint and cosy, timber-lined, mountain chalet-style cottage, set amongst peaceful rain-forest gardens, with its beautiful babbling brook providing a haven for bird life and nature study. The Cottage is fully self contained, has a cosy wood fire (wood supplied), reverse cycle air conditioning and a comfy queens-sized bed upstairs.

Peaceful creek and ocean beach access. 200m walk to surf beach. 35 minutes from Tweed Rail Trail. This rail trail is accessible from Burringbar, Mooball or Murwillumbah which are all less than 35 minutes from Rene's Cottage. There are pelicans, herons, osprey and marine animals. Can comfortably accommodate 2 adults. Whale watching June >> November. All cooking equipment, bed linen and towels supplied. Kayaks and crab pots; no extra, but no pets. Check in time 2pm. Check out time is 10am.
