Classic Mid-Century opens to a private terrace and backyard—and panoramic vistas of the city. Stretch out on one of the sleek sunbeds, take a swim in the free-form pool and heat up the barbecue as the sun begins to sink toward the Pacific. A firepit and lounge area make a cozy spot to gather in the evenings, and a heat lamp next to the hot tub will keep you toasty while getting in and out. Glass walls, an angled roof and smooth concrete forms link the outdoor living areas with the indoor ones. Soft area rugs, clean-lined sofas in neutral tones and low wood tables form a subtly stylish backdrop for whimsical contemporary art in the two-level sitting area, and in the dining area, graceful Cherner chairs and a glass-topped table are flooded with light from a bank of windows. There’s additional seating at the breakfast bar in the fully equipped kitchen. The three bedrooms at Classic Mid-Century are large enough for a family holiday or vacation with friends, yet small enough for a honeymoon or other romantic getaway. The master suite has a king bed and en-suite bathroom and opens to the pool terrace, and the other two bedrooms have queen beds and share a bathroom. Though the villa’s city views make you feel like you’re above the urban bustle, Classic Mid-Century is less than 10 miles from many L.A. must-sees and less than 25 miles from some of the area’s most popular beaches. Spend an afternoon shopping on Rodeo Drive or at The Grove, browsing the collection at the Getty Center or teeing off at the Wilson & Harding Golf Course.
