Seaview Cottage Stromeferry

A unique chance to stay at what can only be described as one of the more beautiful locations in the Scottish Highlands. A stone's throw from the crystal clear waters of Loch Carron. Our quaint 160 year old fisherman's cottage, coupled with its incredible seaside location makes for a perfect relaxing and romantic getaway. Faiche an Traoin (Faish an Trown) means Field of the Corncrake, birds that once inhabited this area. It was built in 2020, has 2 double bedrooms, large lounge/dining area/kitchen and bathroom with walk in shower. It is located in the village of Dunan, 5 miles from Broadford. The house is directly above the seashore with views to the Island of Scalpay across Loch na Cairidh, the Old man of Storr and to the mountains of the mainland and the wall to ceiling windows highlight the beautiful views

Ideally located for gentle strolls from the house to the local beach and to explore this Scottish Site of Scientific Interest. Perfect for twitcher and wildlife enthusiasts, you may even catch a glimpse of an otter and seals! This is also an ideal launch site for your own kayak/canoe/SUP to just paddle around. From here you can also explore the rest of the island and mainland at your leisure.

Guests can walk across the road and down grass to the shore which takes approx 5 minutes. The house has the feel of a traditional croft cottage with all the amenities of the modern day. The nearest village is Broadford which is a 10 minute drive and has a variety of shops and restaurants to enjoy.

The Tin Sheds offer spacious, modern accommodation with spectacular waterfront views. The homes are a short 20 minute drive from the Skye Bridge and offer a centrally located base from which to explore the island. A supermarket, shops, cafes, restaurants, plus a pharmacy & fuel station are conveniently located in Broadford village, a 7 minute drive away. Key attractions including Portree, the Old Man of Storr, the Fairy Pools, Talisker Distillery are all approximately 30 - 40 mins away.

Just the two bedrooms (one with king size bed and the otherwith 2 singles). Fantastic kitchen, dining, living room space with 6 windows for maximum sunlight and views and a wood burning stove. Situated at one end of the village within walking distance of pub, restaurants and shop. Perfect spot for watching sea eagles, otters, seals and sunsets. Magical and inspiring!

The Bay is a stylish 1 bedroom apartment situated metres from the shore on the edge of Broadford Bay. It has an open plan fully equipped kitchen/living room which opens out onto a private decking area. The kitchen has a hob, oven & microwave, an under counter fridge with small icebox. Though annexed to the main house it has its own private entrance and parking.
