We are so fortunate to have a view so special that we wanted to build a guest house for our friends and you! We designed our 600 square foot modern guest house with the intent of creating a very private honeymoon suite. The Woodlands Hideout

The Woodlands Hideout is a small intentional semi-offgrid retreat space, featured on Dwell. It was designed and built by Further Society and created to allow guests to immerse in the beauty of the natural world, but still offer some cozy and more essential comforts. Although the footprint of the space is small, we designed the experience to be outward focussed, so it feels very expansive with the towering pine trees in view.

The community offers private access to the beautiful Cowlitz River a stroll right from Heartwood and on clear days there are great views of towering Butte Peak. Heartwood includes a cedar hot tub, large kitchen, WiFi, 2 bathrooms, a full laundry room, and more. 10 mins to downtown, 60 mins up to Paradise and 30 mins to White Pass. 🏔️🩷
