Our Inn is a national historical mansion built for Charles Cheney in the early 1800s. Was renovated in the 1870 by Charles Cheney son Frank after he inherited the mansion after his fathers passing. Frank was very good friends with Mark Twain. Frank modeled his renovations after Mark Twains mansion in Hartford. We are within walking distance to downtown Manchester. We have a variety of restaurants. There is a brewery that is a short walk down the back driveway.
The Ida Bailey Allen Suite provides refuge for Frontline workers during the pandemic. We have adopted CDC recommended enhanced cleaning/disinfecting procedures. The space was created to honor my grandmother, food authority and nationally known radio personality of the 1920's and 30's. It is welcoming, peaceful, and surrounded by woods. The cozy, "tiny house" feel with vaulted ceiling and sky light makes it unique. Windjammer Guitars is also on site!
Enjoy a remodeled third floor studio in a historic 1873 Springfield home. Queen size bed, large shower, sink, mini refrigerator, and private front entrance. There is a spacious TV room with a fold down couch option. Close to downtown Springfield, the MGM Casino, concerts, Basket Ball Hall of Fame and the Dr. Seuss museum with easy access to highways. This is a Studio on the 3rd floor so be aware of vaulted ceilings as in the pictures. This is a unique space for relaxing. See you soon!
