Curlew Cottage, a Grade 2 listed south facing cottage dating from around 1790 in the small village of West Bretton. An easy walk to the Yorkshire Sculpture Park & a short drive or bus trip to The Hepworth in Wakefield. The National Mining Museum & Cannon Hall Farm are nearby, Peak District National Park, Leeds, York, Sheffield also within easy reach. Just 1 or 2 miles from M1 Junction 38 & 39. The Mistle is a gorgeous, quaint cottage (sleeps 4) at the far end of a historic barn. Located in the friendly village of Brockholes near Holmfirth, accessible by train, it's perfect families and friends looking for a base for a short break. It's also a great base for working. Recently renovated, you'll find it attractive, cosy and well-equipped. The cottage sits across a cobbled courtyard from our house so we're here to help. Includes parking, fast wifi and great outdoor space. Dog friendly.

Upside down stone Bothy on Marsden Moor

Long Fall Bothy is a gorgeous stone building on the outskirts of Marsden village in West Yorkshire. Perfect for a walking holiday, the Kirklees Way passes the property and the Pennine Way, Oldham Way are close by. A great place for mountain biking with the Transpennine Trail a few miles away and lots of cycle paths/trails on your doorstep. Local real ale pubs and plenty of cafes in Marsden village a short walk (15 minutes) along the canal. Beautiful scenery, views from the cottage are amazing.

A moorland retreat in the Dark Peak

Welcome to one of the Peak District's best kept secrets - the Ewden Valley - which is a mixture of wild moorland and lush woodland. It's off the tourist trail and yet not far from the attractions in the National Park. It's fabulous for walking, cycling, riding (field for horses) and birdwatching. The cottage forms part of the Broomhead Estate and the wooded parkland runs down to the cottage. The 17th century cottage is a cosy hideaway with wood burner and wifi.
