The Old Pharmacy is a 16th Century House in the small Market town of Berkeley. Both the house and the area are steeped in history. We are a 2 minute walk from Berkeley Castle, Berkeley Church, Edward Jenner Museum and near to Slimbridge Wildlife and Wetlands Trust, The Barn at Cattle Country Adventure Park and The Berkeley Deer Park. This is a great location for walkers wishing to explore the Cotswold Way and cyclists using route 44. If you require a continental breakfast, please let me know.
The room is a pretty, private and large attic bedroom with a vanity basin/unit. The bathroom is on a different level, but is for your sole use. I do not offer breakfast, but there is a kettle with tea, coffee & biscuits in the room, a bowl of fresh fruit and I leave a couple of breaksfast muffins for you. I do have two very friendly dogs (not allowed in the bedrooms/bathrooms). My older Labrador is 11 years old and is the sweetest little girl. My Scottie is 2 years old and needs everybody to love him, so is ultra friendly and loves a tummy rub! I love my old and characteristic house where it’s believed Edward Jenner tested his vaccine on the children who lived here at the time. In the summer, you are welcome to sit in the courtyard garden. There are 2 lovely cafe/tea rooms almost next door who both offer a great breakfast, lunch and afternoon teas. There is a lovely pub/restaurant just around the corner for evening meals. I am new to renting out a room, but promise you a warm welcome. I have my office at the front of the building so am always available but will respect your privacy and enjoyment of your stay.
I’ve already mentioned the famous sites on our doorstep and locally. A visit to Berkeley will find you amidst beautiful countryside, interesting history and very welcoming local community.

Our lovely cottage is in the centre of the rural historic town of Dursley. The Cotswold Way passes through making it the ideal rest-stop. Dursley is also ideally located for commuting to Gloucester, Cheltenham, Bristol and Stroud. Our guest room is a cosy double bedroom within our two-bedroomed house, with views over the garden and the chickens - which give fresh eggs daily! We are LGBT friendly.
The double bedroom is small but warm and cosy. Guests are welcome to make use of the bathroom, kitchen and living room, which is prefect to unwind in after a busy day!
We love living in Dursley! The cottage is in the centre of the town although feels like it's in the middle of the countryside! There are great independent restaurants, shops and plenty of walks to keep you busy. Dursley sits within easy reach of Gloucester, Bristol, Stroud and the charming Cotswolds which makes it the ideal place to stay.

Classic Victorian school house, comfortably sleeps ten in five double bedrooms. Large kitchen-diner, cosy sitting-room with wood-burner. Berkeley Castle 1 min walk. Beautiful private walled rose garden, panoramic Cotswolds views. Country-house furnishings, super-comfy pocket-sprung beds, 100% Egyptian cotton sheets and towels . Highchair, travel cot, barbecue & garden seating. Free BT Super-Fast wifi, 42" TV, Fire stick. Berkeley Castle over the garden wall, Cattle Country 10 mins walk.
School Cottage is a very comfortable, sunny and spacious five bedroom house with two upstairs bathrooms (one en-suite), a large sitting-room with a wood-burner, and a large very well-equipped kitchen-diner. The house is built on three levels, so it really is a lot larger than it looks, and there's plenty of space for everyone. The downstairs loo is close to the ground floor bedroom (up three steps). The house has solid bamboo flooring downstairs, and upstairs is newly carpeted. All the beds are brand new, with pocket-sprung orthopaedic mattresses and 100% Egyptian cotton white sheets, plus cosy quilted cotton bedspreads from Forever England. Each bedroom has an antique mahogany chest of drawers and a matching mirror plus a luggage rack. The master bedroom has a French armoire as well as a mahogany chest of drawers. A good Red Kite travel cot is supplied (with extra comfy mattress) plus a baby bath and a proper high-chair. The main sitting room has seating for 10, plus a wood-burner which makes it perfect for cosy winter evenings. There is private gravelled off-road parking with space for four cars. The rose garden has a teak table, parasol and ten chairs, plus a large kettle charcoal barbecue.
Berkeley is a quiet village with a lot of history. It's been here since Saxon times, and Berkeley Castle was built around 1150, and the Berkeley family still live there. Berkeley is world-famous as the place where Edward Jenner discovered the cure for smallpox. More recently, the Castle featured heavily in the recent Johnny English film, as well as Poldark.

Perfect for groups of up to 14 people, right next to Berkeley Castle, Cattle Country ten min walk. Huge, sunny, comfortable house. Enormous well-equipped kitchen/diner with 6-burner range-cooker & seating for 14, very large sitting-room and separate snooker room. Hotel-quality pocket-sprung beds, beautiful linen & towels, super-fast BT fibre wifi, satellite TV & Firestick. Two pretty courtyard gardens with seating, panoramic views of the Cotswolds. Edge of village, shops 2 mins walk.
The house is comfortably furnished in country-house style, with loads of space for everyone to spread out. All the beds have luxury hotel-standard pocket-sprung mattresses and upholstered beds, with 100% Egyptian cotton sheets, beautiful bedspreads and cushions from Forever England. The vintage slate-bed snooker table in the games room will keep the lads happy, and there are lots of lovely walks around Berkeley (and lots of pubs) to keep everyone entertained. Please let me know if you would like me to recommend a local caterer. If you are going to a wedding at Berkeley Castle, there's really nothing closer - you can actually nip through the back of the carpark and straight into the Castle grounds. Alternatively, it's just a ten minute walk to the wedding venue at The Barn at Cattle Country.
The Old School House is right next to Berkeley Castle, which is still lived in by the Berkeley family. We have the same fabulous unspoiled views over the water-meadows towards the Cotswolds. Berkeley is a very quiet little backwater, yet just ten minutes from Junction 14 M5 and twenty minutes from Cribbs Causeway.

Our cosy yurt is situated in a secluded corner of our large garden, which has access to the Forest of Dean. The yurt has a wood burner and is insulated with thick yak's wool - perfect for colder nights. There is a very comfy double and a pull out double sofa bed which is great for kids. A shower room, with electric shower, hot running water, and a flushing toilet is 20 meters from the yurt, as is a small kitchenette with hot water and power. Outside there is a fire for cooking.
We are in a quiet hamlet a mile from the nearest village, and from the yurt you can walk directly on forestry tracks into the Forest of Dean. All the forest has to offer is a walk or short drive away. The yurt looks over rolling farmland and is nestled in a quiet corner, surrounded by trees and mossy ground.
Peaceful, quiet, and perfect for star gazing, and literally situated on the South Eastern edge of the Forest of Dean. We have regular visits from deer, owls, and voles, as well as the usual squirrel and small garden birds. Sometimes you can hear wild boar snuffling in the field next to the yurt.

Access to washroom is up and down some well lit steps. There is bike storage and facilities to wash your bikes. We live in a small quiet village with forest all around. There is direct access into the forest over a small brook. We have constantly changing views as the trees go through the year. We also keep honey bees. The Forest of Dean has some fantastic attractions for everyone including Clearwell Caves, Hopewell colliery, Puzzlewood, Secret forest, Perrygrove, steamtrains and MaryRose pottery to name a few! The Retreat is situated on Woodchester Valley Vineyard in the Cotswolds, close to Stroud and 1 mile from Nailsworth town with many restaurants, walks, shops and supermarkets. It offers spacious accommodation with stunning views over the valley, a fully equipped kitchen, log burners in both the kitchen and sitting rooms as well as the full sky TV package in 2 separate rooms. As this is adjacent to a working vineyard, regrettably no children under the age of 12 can be accommodated.
The master bedroom offers a super king size bed which can be made into twin beds upon request.
We are located 1.5 miles from the bustling town of Nailsworth, which has an abundance of restaurants, cafés and pubs for breakfast, brunch and dinner options. We are 3.5 miles from the market town of Stroud which boasts one of the best farmers markets in the country every Saturday. The spa towns of Cheltenham and Bath are within 45 minutes, and the area is very popular with walkers, cyclists and those looking for a base from which to explore the South Cotswolds.

A charming & characterful single storey cottage in a beautiful part of the Forest of Dean on the outskirts of Blakeney, Workshop Cottage is nestled in a picturesque valley with its meandering brook and spectacular woodland backdrop. It really does offer the best of both worlds - the privacy and seclusion of a rural location but with the convenience of being only a 15 minute walk from Blakeney village and its facilities.
Inside, the cottage has a cosy and welcoming feel. A former carpenters workshop, it has recently been converted to a very high standard with exposed stone work, oak beams & tasteful decor. The accommodation includes a king size bedroom with ensuite bathroom, open plan living/dining area including sofa bed (2nd bed) woodburning stove, TV and a fully equipped modern kitchen (oven, microwave, gas hob, dishwasher, fridge and washing machine) and an additional shower room. The cottage has the benefit of fibre WiFi, Smart TV with Freeview and a bluetooth speaker system. This is a beautiful space with stunning views over the fields towards stroud. It is very simply decorated inside with lovely oak beams and staircase. There is also a wood burning stove for extra warmth in the winter months. From the outside it almost looks like a swiss chalet, and upstairs on the mezzanine floor you will find traditional Japanese Tatami mats and futon beds. There are currently no kitchen facilities apart from a kettle, fridge and microwave.
The Annexe is clad in beautiful Larch wood which gives it a lovely warm glowing look, the floor, doors and stairs are all warm wood too. The Tatami mats and Futon beds are genuine traditional Japanese pieces.
The surrounding area is great for walking and cycling, not far from the town of stroud too which has an award winning farmers market every Saturday which has amazing local produce. Stroud is nestled in the 5 valleys in the heart of the Cotswolds with beautiful countryside all round.

Basic condiments (salt, pepper, oil), tea, coffee, sugar, a cafetiere, washing up liquid, tea towels, tin foil, cling film, sponges, dishwasher tablets, laundry materials and bin bags come as standard as does a lovely welcome pack comprising local produce and fridge essentials. Beyond the kitchen and the other side of a lovingly restored archway, is the lounge where guests will find a Smart TV (including Netflix, Prime Video & Freeview Play), an Amazon Echo Dot, a comfortable corner settee that doubles as a bed, an extendable dining table and French doors that open onto a quiet outdoor space. For younger guests, there are books, toys and games. For older guests, there is a chess set and playing cards. Upstairs, there is a tastefully refurbished bathroom, a gorgeous master bedroom with king sized bed and plenty of storage, plus an attractive twin room. Introduction As you approach Walkley Wood Cottage through the winding lanes of Nailsworth, you will notice how the town and surrounding properties are almost hidden by the secluded woodland valley to the east of Stroud. Proudly perched on the side of sleepy Shortwood Road is Walkley Wood Cottage, a distinguished 19th century property with rustic golden stone that immediately casts a warm and welcoming aura. Ideally situated, this cottage is the perfect base for exploring the tranquillity of the surrounding Stroud Valleys and the wider Cotswolds, while guests are also in easy walking distance of the cheerfully eclectic town of Nailsworth. If you’re looking for somewhere to totally relax and unwind, then Walkley Wood is the perfect Cotswold home for you. Guests are welcome to sit outside and enjoy the warmth of the summer months in this compact but delightful sun trap. You may find yourself admiring the beautiful architecture and delicate Georgian windows, this cottage was, after all, built in 1852. Although the exact history of the cottage remains largely a mystery, it has been suggested that the building may have been used as a pub many years ago, which could explain the origins of the kitchen skylight. Either way, it’s nice to consider that many happy memories have been created within these historic walls! Inside, Walkley Wood really is the perfect holiday home. Devoid of fussiness and frill, Karen has struck the perfect balance between homely-cosy comfort and refreshing simplicity. Each floor is brought to life by a sprinkling of quirky vintage features, while guests can simultaneously enjoy a bright and Scandinavian-inspired minimalist feel. The living room is the real heart of the property.
