The Stable is a recently converted barn in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park with great views of the sea and fields. It is a good place for couples, solo adventurers, hikers, bird watchers, seal spotters and stargazers who are looking for peace and tranquillity. The spectacular coastal path is a short walk away. The stable is eco-friendly and comfortable with underfloor heating, modern media facilities and a bathroom that has received much praise from our guests.
This 19th century stable was converted to a small house two years ago. It has one bedroom on a mezzanine. It has great views and is located at the beautiful Pembrokeshire coast. It is very quiet here and gets very dark at night.
The Stable is part of Ty Isaf Farm, of which the main farmhouse has not had the restoration it deserves yet. We are not building at the moment. The farm has a private drive off a dead-end road in the pretty hamlet of Llanwnda on the Strumble peninsula.

Rhoslanog Cottages, Wales, Britannia

Unique barn, ancient Pembrokeshire farm, lovely self-contained suite: woodstove, large shower, loft bedroom, wifi, patio, pure spring water, home-grown food, fruit, bread and cakes baked by Christine, eggs from our chickens. Nearby beaches cliffs dolphins station and Irish ferry!
A UNIQUE RETREAT Perfect rural retreat for two: the barn of an ancient Pembrokeshire longhouse, now a beautiful self contained suite of rooms - living/dining room, wood stove, breakfast patio, kitchen with fridge, freezer, dishwasher, oven, hob, microwave, Belfast sink, bathroom with large shower, and a traditional croglofft bedroom (see the photos). Wifi Internet, private parking, and our own delicious spring water on tap. And all only five minutes from the beach, the cliffs, seals on the shore, porpoises and dolphins in the waves, the world's "second best coast" (National Geographic) and "the world's best beaches" (Guardian), plus ferry to Ireland and trains from all over Britain. REAL FOOD The Cwtsh is a peaceful retreat on a working smallholding. We specialise in good home-grown food, fruit, preserves, bread, pancakes and cakes all baked by Christine. When you arrive, and depending on the length of your visit, your fridge will be ready stocked with everything you need for your breakfasts - eggs, milk, tomatoes, bacon and sausages, cheese, butter, yoghurts etc etc. There will be a loaf of Christine's bread, muesli, oatcakes, preserves, fruit, herbs and spices, plus good alternatives if you let us know you have special diets. And the timber and firewood for the stove is produced by Mike in our own ancient woodlands. EVERY SEASON This is a place for all seasons: the Cwtsh has wide patio doors for sunny breakfasts, ancient arrowslit windows for cosy autumn nights, a skylight to view the Milky Way in winter and meteor showers any time. Ffynnon Clun has truly wonderful dark skies which glisten with stars. WINTER RETREAT 2017-18 From mid-November 2017 to mid-February 2018, the Cwtsh will be available on at low rates exclusively to long-stay guests (anything from 20-90 nights). If you are completing a book, writing a script, finishing a thesis, this could be just the winter retreat you need. Please discuss your requirements. EXHILARATING COAST AND CLIFFS Five minutes away is the 186-mile Pembrokeshire Coast Path, the most exhilarating coastal experience in Britain. Walk a mile or twenty miles, but be sure not to miss it during your stay. BEST BEACHES "Forget the Caribbean or Thailand, Pembrokeshire has the world's best beaches ... at least 243 beaches of unparalleled beauty" wrote The Guardian on July 20th 2013, and we agree. LIFE IN FISHGUARD At the foot of the hill, past Fishguard & Goodwick Station (regular trains from Swansea, Cardiff, Bristol, Manchester and London) and the Irish Ferry terminal, the town of Fishguard has independent bookshops, delis and cafés, galleries and farmers' markets, the extraordinary Last Invasion Tapestry, and plenty of live music all year. MAGIC MOUNTAINS Inland, the Preseli Hills - once described as "better than a day in bed" - are the magical source of the bluestones of Stonehenge. TWO'S COMPANY The Cwtsh is ideal for two people, but we regularly welcome larger groups. For a child, you can have a single futon or a travel cot. We can also offer a second bedroom, for a teenager or another couple. In summertime some of your party could camp in the fields and woodlands around the Cwtsh. Back to nature, plus all the amenities of the Cwtsh. AND ALSO ... We are happy to provide or arrange - Bike hire Guided walking tours of Pembrokeshire Holiday accommodation for your dog (no pets at the Cwtsh - it is allergen-free) Local and organic food deliveries Complementary and alternative therapies Meet/take you to your train or ferry Good advice on local walks, travel, weather and eating out Pembrokeshire event and festival information We hope to welcome you soon.
Our farm, Ffynnon Clun, is just a few fields inland from the Pembrokeshire Coast, one of the finest coastal regions in the world - no exaggeration. The Coast Path is an absolute must-visit. Many guests start with Strumble Head, a rugged headland with its lighthouse shining out over the Irish Sea. A brilliant place to watch porpoises, dolphins and sea birds, even in rough weather - there is a splendid shelter. After that, all 186 miles of the Coast Path are at your feet. Our pocket guide, "A Walk to the Shops - Fishguard Style", takes you out of the farm gate, down the hill, along the beach, around the cliffs and into the centre of Fishguard for an exhilarating 30-minute walk like no other. You won't find big brands in our town. Almost every shop is owned and run by someone local. There are cafes, restaurants and a deli, fresh produce markets, a sheltered picturesque harbour, bars, art galleries, a wonderful bookshop and live music. And because this is a tiny town - only 5,000 people - you will quickly meet people and make friends.

Owl's Nest is our cosy, yet light and airy annex. We are nestled in the heart of farming country on the wildly beautiful St Davids peninsula. The cottage is ideal for couples or young families. It has a comfortable double room and a snuggly bunk room. The kitchen-diner is fully equipped and an uplifting space in which to enjoy breakfast together before you head out. The bathroom is a perfect warm space to wash off the sand before relaxing over supper and getting cosy in front of the log burner.
We provide a complimentary welcome pack including home-made cake, tea, coffee, milk and sugar, as well as bread, butter and a preserve. We can lend you a folding cot, high chair, bed guard or stairgate at no extra cost. Please ask in advance. We do ask you to bring your own baby bedding and reins. Owl's Nest is the first step along the way to converting more outbuildings to create further holiday cottages, including a single storey, two-bedroomed, fully accessible unit with wide-ranging views to the West . Consequently, although there is no building work happening at the moment, we are sorry that we cannot yet offer you dedicated outside space to sit or play. It is a priority for us to try to get this ready by late summer. In the meantime, you may share our space at the front of the cottage, but children and pets need to be supervised at all times.
Make the most of our proximity to the Pembrokeshire Coast path. A short drive will take you to visit blue flag beaches, castles, hills, forests or animal parks. Enjoy peace and quiet with huge, starry skies. Make the most of the slower pace of life. Visit the farmers' markets and wonderful restaurants. Rediscover the joys of rock-pooling. Re-charge by walking the coast and drinking in the fresh sea air and the wildly beautiful vistas. We may be able to help you with a lift to the start or finish of your walk.

Pembrokeshire is a popular tourist attraction and has much to satisfy a diverse range of tastes. There is far too much to list everything to do in the local area but loads of information can be found at the Pembrokeshire Tourist Information Centres. Below are a few of our favourite things. The Pembrokeshire Coastal Path. One of the most spectacular coastal walks in the country and one of the most dramatic sections is all but a 30 minute walk from the cottage. Wild flower and Bird Watching. With it’s national park and conservation areas, coastlines, offshore islands (teeming with puffins, razorbills, shearwaters, storm petrels and chough) and the Pembrokeshire hedges the area is a popular destination for nature lovers. Foxgloves, pink campion, snowdrops, woodland carpets of bluebells, gorses and heathers is but to name a few of the many flowers. These are also the hunting grounds for the buzzards and peregrine falcons that inhabit the area. Seal Watching. September and October are the best months to see the pups, a nice early evening walk from the cottage to one of the best seal watching beaches in the UK stopping to watch the sunset into the sea on the way back from Garn Fawr. You may even see some dolphins, porpoises, whales or basking sharks. Beaches. Walk, cycle or drive to the beautiful pebble beaches of Aber Bach and Aber Mawr, take a BBQ, go for a swim, walk in the bluebell woods or fish for mackerel. Sandy beaches can be easily found a little further away, the beautiful beaches of Whitesands and Newgale are good for bathing, sand castles and surfing. Cycling. Explore the surrounding lanes, beaches and villages by following the national cycle routes or for off road fun visit the nearby Preseli Hills or Llys-y-Frân reservoir . Island Wildlife Visits. Take a boat trip to one of the many islands that surround the Pembrokeshire coast. Ramsey and Skomer Islands are great destinations to see an abundance of wildlife. Eating and Drinking Out. The surrounding area has a high number of very good restaurants and there are many cafes and old world pubs to enjoy. Castles. Pembrokeshire has much more than its fair share of castles. See where the Tudor dynasty was born in Pembroke, amble amongst the ruins of Carew castle and Manorbrier. Visit the unusual 13th century castle at Picton or see Cardigan Castle as featured on the BBC’s Restoration programme. Crafts and Galleries. Pembrokeshire has long been a haven for artists. The large number of quality galleries and craft centres testifies this. Visit some of the galleries and sculpture gardens, spend a day learning how to throw pots or bring your paints or camera and find out why so many artists have drifted to this part of the world.

Penmeiddyn is a five bedroom farmhouse retreat centre set in three and a half acres of private and secluded gardens and woodland. What makes Penmeiddyn so unique is its subtle blend of quiet rustic charm tucked within a gentle roaming valley. A secluded and quiet idyll carved beneath ancient burial chambers and rocky tors, only two miles from the pebbled and sandy beaches and rugged coastline near to Fishguard.
The space you will be using is a small self-contained part of the five bedroom farmhouse retreat centre. You will have your own private entrance, bedsitting room, kitchen and bathroom. There will be outside seating and dining areas for guests.
Permeiddyn nestles alongside the North Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, a natural conservation area, providing a powerful catalyst for ones' creative impulses. Traditionally Penmeiddyn was a small dairy farm set amongst a landscape of craggy moorland, standing stones and dolmen, an area that has long been a magnet for healing and mystical pilgrimages.
  • Loistava paikka tutustua tähän upeaan alueeseen. Sue on todella ajatellut kaikkea, mitä hänen vierailleen tarvitsee, ja hänen myssinsä oli herkullinen. Täydellinen paikka yöpyä tutustua tähän kauniiseen paikalliseen alueeseen, suosittelemme vierailemaan vieressä olevaan galleriaan, matka Fishguardin elokuvateatteriin, joka oli mahtava ja tietysti St David's.

Very rural, excellent spot for walkers. Approx 20 mins due east from the beautiful Cathedral city of St. Davids, 15 mins south west from the historic twin port towns of Fishguard and Goodwick, 20 mins north from the county town of Haverfordwest, and only 3 miles from the village of Mathry. The large family farmhouse dates from the 17th C and is situated on a working small holding that hosts regular events. All events are listed on the Trehale Farm Facebook page.
This is a family home and the room is comfortable and well equipped. I am new to hosting and I'm looking forward to sharing my home with visitors. At the moment it is a pet free home but one small well behaved dog would be welcome. There are tea and coffee making facilities in room.
This is a beautiful, quiet rural part of Wales. With a stunning coastline and path. Ideal for walkers, cyclists and nature lovers.
