As guests have observed, Tip Top is much more than a stay, it's an experience. The private Huntsman Suite has been fully renovated and includes large screen cable HDTV, WIFI, Ethernet, tower fan, yoga mat, robes/slippers, Keurig coffee/tea service, snacks, bottled water, microwave, refrigerator, hair dryer, iron and toiletries. The Suite has a bright, spacious Bedroom with Queen bed, Sitting Area, an Office/Study Room, and a large delightful Spa Bathroom with Kohler whirlpool and glass shower.
Tip Top Farm, of which only the farm's Manor House remains today, was an equestrian estate that was an important part of the storied Great Gatsby era "Gilded Age" of Social Registers, Fox Hunting, Horse Polo and Jumping. The 3 room Huntsman Suite has been fully renovated and tastefully appointed to capture the essence of this unique bygone period. Your 3 room Bridle Suite is totally private, consisting of a Bedroom, Sitting Area, Spa Bathroom, and an Office/Study Room, accessed by a private staircase. Your Spa Bathroom is also bright and spacious, a delightful area to relax & unwind in our Kohler whirlpool. Your Office/Study room includes a large desk, the epitome of comfortable yet efficient work space. Well-lit, with surge-protected extra outlets, USB charging ports, and fast, fast WiFi. But, if you need blazing ultra fast, we offer direct connection to the Web via Ethernet cable. Also included is a Keurig coffee/hot water service with a complimentary selection of coffees and teas, a mini-refrigerator with complimentary bottled water, microwave and a selection of complimentary snacks, some home prepared in our own kitchen.
Our home is perfect for couples enjoying a cozy & private romantic getaway, working persons, and solo travelers in a quiet tranquil setting, but with all modern conveniences while still close to restaurants, shopping, transportation, Philadelphia and other points of interest.
In addition to the Huntsman Suite, we also offer accommodations in another separate area of the house, which is listed with Airbnb as the "Tally-Ho Suite", and which can be accessed by a separate search through Airbnb, or directly at https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/32492353.
Just to be clear, we have three separate Suites in our home. Two Suites are offered through Airbnb: the Tally-Ho Suite and the Huntsman Suite. The third Suite is our own bedroom area. You are staying in the house with us, but you come and go through the front door with a separate driveway, parking area and front door while we use another separate driveway and parking area and we come and go through the back door. The three Suite areas are physically separated, so if you want privacy there is plenty.
The oldest part of the house was built in the first half of the 18th century (approx. 1745). The house has been fully restored and modernized, but as guests have observed, "somehow, even with the original details and period collectibles, it still feels like a home." Our guests have offered the following comments about their experience: "A unique and magical place, a hidden gem that offers a glimpse into history but with all of the modern amenities."; "It was a pleasure to meet them [the hosts], and they were so warm and friendly that it felt like we were visiting old friends."; "Spectacular home."; "Gorgeous setting in a beautiful neighborhood."; "Words cannot begin to do it justice."; "We hope to visit again many times in the future."
We invite you to stay and add your own commentary!!!
We are literally just minutes away from popular venues for weddings, banquets, and visits at Normandy Farms, the William Penn Inn, the Joseph Ambler Inn, Foulkeways & numerous area retirement communities, Gwynedd Mercy University, Montgomery County Community College, and many others.
For those requesting lodging, we'd appreciate it if you included your photo and something about yourself on your Airbnb profile. As well, we've found that guest stays are made even more enjoyable when guests let us know what's bringing them to the area and why they were attracted to our listing, which enables us to personalize their stays. We (and Airbnb) would also really like it if you would leave a review with Airbnb after your stay.
