Part of the Ponder farm dating back to 1906, we have a little house that offers a peaceful environment overlooking the family farm with a picturesque old barn, surrounded by tree lined fields. Enjoy the updated home with fully furnished kitchen, queen bed, and open front and back porches for relaxing in the quiet countryside. We are located just south of Sherman off Hwy 11, close to Austin College, with easy access to Highway 75.

This home has been thoughtfully furnished and features three bedrooms, two baths, a fully equipped kitchen, a dining area overlooking the woods and a generous living area. A pack ’n play and twin mattress are available for added flexibility. Enjoy our shared breezeway porch with an outdoor fireplace and peaceful views into our wooded 12-acre backyard. Perfect for wedding weekends, lake trips, or a quiet countryside escape. Also well-suited for comfortable long-term stays.

The Countryside Suite

This country suite is located on a beautiful property right outside city limits. Comfortable queen bed, sofa, desk, tv, mini fridge, freezer, microwave, coffee maker, etc. Everything you need for your stay! The room is attached to a shop about 1 acre from our main house. Shop area isn’t used much, but if needed during your stay, you will be notified prior to use. Van Alstyne is a quaint small town with vintage shops and restaurants. Come enjoy our little slice of heaven!
