The Doe Branch Cabin - Modern Mountain Retreat

Sense of Place. That is the inspiration here, at least in part. The cabin is situated on 12 private acres in a remote corner of Madison County, surrounded by national forest, streams, and clear mountain air. The property has a history of artist residents, and we encourage creatives of all types to come seek the inspiration found by those that came before. The town of Marshall, an artistic enclave, is 25-30 minutes away, and downtown Asheville is a 45-50 minute drive. Hiking and rafting nearby.

The location offers quick access to a major interstate putting opportunities in Western North Carolina and Asheville within reach. We are just a few miles from Mars Hill University. Hey Y'all!, we are offering a small shack (which was scheduled to be a portion our Boy Barn). It's 10x12 feet, furnished with a daybed with two twin mattresses. There is a retro DVD TV, mini refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, and hot plate. Up our driveway and behind our home, you have use of an outdoor half bath and internet access. Behind the shack you have a private bonfire, hammock deck, a composting toilet and a covered area with a clay grill in an outdoor cooking area.
