67b2 St. Mary StreetLocated in the Artists’ Town of Kirkcudbright, in south west Scotland, 67 St. Mary Street was built in 1878. It was then a large fashionable shop, at one time a drapery, and the upper floors contained elegant town houses for the shop owners and their family. The lower street level has since been converted to three retail outlets, one of which is a gallery for a local artist cooperative. The upper floors remain residential.
Traditional cottage in the heart of GallowayWoodpecker is a traditional and sympathetically restored self-catering cottage set amidst magnificent scenery in the heart of one of the most beautiful and quiet corners of Galloway. We are located in the conservation village of Bladnoch less than a mile from Wigtown (Scotland's National Book Town). Close by are safe sandy beaches, rolling hills, quiet roads and rugged coastlines. There’s an attractive, traditional child-friendly pub, restaurant and distillery within two minutes walk.
The Gardeners Cottage @ Corvisel - cosy & quirky! The Gardeners Cottage is set within the walled gardens of Corvisel House, built by Rear Admiral John McKerlie in 1829. We have restored the cottage in a vintage, quirky style with Donegal & Harris tweed soft furnishings & floral accents to reflect the glorious garden outside! It's located at the edge of Newton Stewart so very handy for evening strolls to the eateries in town. You can take walks in our small forest from the courtyard & hang out in the walled garden - green fingers are welcomed!!
