Wick Farm is set on the edge of the Somerset levels just outside Langport,…no flooding! Staying at Wick Farm is a treat for the senses with all its artefacts and bold sense of style, which you can preview in more detail on my website (website hidden). Outside, more visual delights can be seen as often the Cranes fly over and the Starlings migrate in the autumn/winter months; both of which should be one of the wonders of the world.......
The house is on three floors, 3 twin rooms and 2 doubles. 10 can sleep comfortably but more than 8 might be a bit of a squeeze in the kitchen and sitting room. There are 2 en suite bathrooms and one shared bathroom with a hip bath, as well as a downstairs cloakroom.
There is a well decked out kitchen for foodies with aga ,along with many cook books to browse. When the sun is shinning there are plenty of outdoor lounging and eating areas to enjoy.
We are situated in 25 acres of beautiful farm and woodland, with abundant, well-tended veggie patches, flower gardens and plenty of fruit trees, crumble hedges and a nuttery. You are welcome to pick whatever is in season. The outdoor heated pool is open from 1 May to 31 September.
Please note that the house is £345 per night at Christmas, New Year, Easter and from early May to late September, when the pool will be heated then £245 per night for the rest of the year. It is always an extra £50 per person per night over 6 guests. We only accept bookings for 3 nights over English bank holidays and the other 3 mention above.
The house is easily accessible from a small country road, with off street parking. A warm welcome from my wonderful team will help you get settled in. Allie will give you directions and access codes prior to your visit and Base will be on hand to welcome you and provide any info you might need.
I am often abroad but available too (website hidden) as I would love to share my enthusiasm for this beautiful hidden part of the world. I have renovated the barn next door which I or my sons sometimes stay.
