Our basement double bedroom with shower and kitchenette has its own entrance and is perfectly situated in a small leafy town 6 miles from Glasgow. A 7 minute walk to the station, 10 minutes by train into Glasgow , to Edinburgh only 45 minutes.
Our basement room is actually on ground floor level to the back of our Victorian home. Accessed through its own front door from the garden there is a good sized living space with sofa, table and chairs. Guests will have sole use of the kitchenette which has a gas hob, microwave combi oven,fridge , kettle , toaster and washer / drier and a Nespresso coffee machine. There is a double bedroom with a very comfortable king-sized bed and wardrobe. All linen and towels are provided. The flat has central heating and quickly warms up and is pleasantly cool in summer. There is a shower room off the main room. I need to say that like many basement conversions the ceilings are fairly lo(URL HIDDEN)or 1.98m ) with a couple of beams that a taller person may need to be aware of!
Lenzie is a small town north east of Glasgow conveniently situated on the Edinburgh and Glasgow railway line. In the centre of Lenzie there is an area of peat bog and a nature reserve with lovely views of the Campsie Fells. There are several other walks to be done and the Forth and Clyde Canal passes through Kirkintilloch, about a mile and a half up the road. Lenzie has 2 well stocked co-ops,a Post - Office, cafe, hairdressers,a pub, a brand new family restaurant, very good Indian restaurant, Chinese carry out and a Fish and Chip shop all within a short walking distance. Nearby Kirkintilloch has a bigger selection of supermarkets , shops and cafes. There is also a Leisure Centre with swimming pool nearby.

The shepherds hut is fully contained with its own double bed, fluffy dressing gowns to chill out in, your own bathroom with shower, Wc and hand basin with complimentary shampoo conditioner and shower gel, You have a tv that is connected to internet which you can watch Now Tv and with entertainment package, box set, and movie package and all the catch up programmes. A Small kitchen with two ring induction hob, fridge, combination microwave and complimentary coffee and tea for during your stay. Also a Log burner with logs and coal to use during your stay and a small radiator for the cold nights. We now have a eco friendly wood burning hot tub for you to enjoy during your stay...as it takes up four hours to heat up we can light it for you arriving if you give us a Estimated time of arriving but you then have to keep the fire going ... the use of the hot tub is only up to midnight. Charlie one of our cats also loves the shepherds hut and has a habbit of visiting. We are Pet friendly but due to the size we only take one small to medium dog We are also gay friendly The shepherds hut has peaceful surroundings yet only a short drive to Glasgow city center, local train station is Lenzie station and a 15 minute walk and gives fast access to Glasgow city center and Edinburgh. It is rural so you would benefit from a car. Ideal for people wanting a quiet handy base near Scotland’s main road network from which to explore the country. Off road parking is available. Lenzie is 29 minutes from Glasgow airport, 90 minutes from Prestwick airport by car. Glasgow takes around 12 minutes by car.

Kaikki pienet asiat olivat jo meille keittiössä, öljyssä, kastikkeissa, kattiloissa ja ruokailuvälineissä jne. Me keitimme koko viikonlopun ja kävimme ihastuttavalla alueella.     At the end of a long journey when all you are looking for is a comfy bed, hot shower and a cup of tea look no further than here. My home is situated on a quiet street. With my spare room being large and airy there is plenty of room to feel at home in and as its situated to the back of the house so its nice and quiet. Fresh towels and linen are supplied. There is WiFi. Small hairdryer available. There is a wardrobe which has a couple of drawers for you to use during your stay. My home is easily accessible by road, rail (Westerton Train Station), & bus (X4, 3, 6a & 16), plenty of on road parking. Also able to get a direct train to Edinburgh from local station. The SECC, Clyde Auditorium, the Hydro, Kings Theatre, Theatre Royal and Pavilion are all easily accessible. 4 train stops from the start of the West Highland Way. Also within walking distance of the University of Glasgow School of Veterinary Medicine and ‌Institute of Cancer Sciences. Breakfast supplied consists of cereal, bagels, toast, fruit, yoghurt, jam/marmalade/butter, tea & coffee. Sorry no smoking or pets allowed.
    Very quiet and peaceful. Great transport links. Easy access to local amenities.

Located 200m from the train station, a a regular direct train (7min journey) can get you from our door to Glasgow City Centre within 10mins. Also similar time by car. We provide breakfast and also tea and coffee available for you throughout your stay. We often out and about so you will have privacy, but we also enjoy socialising!
    Generous size ground floor private double bedroom with space for clothing / storage. Views out across the square over a pretty park. Main door entry with key provided for duration of stay. Breakfast available included in the price in an open dining room. Shared bathroom with lovely rain shower. Shampoo and shower cream provided. Guests also have access to our patio in our garden with outdoor seating - beautiful spot for relaxing on a warm day/evening. Travel cot available for couples/parent with a small child and high chair available for use. We are also happy to provide some healthy snacks for your child free of charge.     The apartment is ideally located across from the train Station and minutes from the start of the West Highland Way.
    The quiet neighbourhood of Milngavie is idea for a relaxing time away. On the doorstep is the start of the West Highland Way not to mention numerous other great walks. It’s also a stones throw from the west end by train. Alighting at Hyndland or Partick you’re minutes from the bustling markets and amazing brunch spots. My favourite is Partick Duck Club! In 25 minutes you can be in the City Centre if it’s shopping or a night out that you’re looking for. Milngavie itself has a number of great restaurants as well as 2 supermarkets within a 5 minute walk if you prefer to eat in.

    If you want to get back to nature but don't want to leave your creature comforts behind then "The Captain's Retreat" is the place for you. Having finished our first cabin, it has all of the luxuries you would expect from a 5* hotel, it just happens to also be in the most tranquil and private setting. Upon arrival you find your own designated parking space where you will walk through the enchanting woodland to find your very own little piece of calm, where you can unwind in a hand made cabin.
    Inspired by his experience of living in the wild for a year and his Grandfather; a gold mining prospector Jack has created Finglen Cabins. The "Captain's Retreat" is a little piece of paradise where you can escape the hustle and bustle of modern life. Come and relax on the verandah with a long drink and listen to sound of bird song and the burn which runs through our wild flower meadow. Finglen Cabins has everything that you will need for a relaxing getaway, whether you want to stay for the weekend or a month we we have thought of everything. There is hot running water, electricity, a woodfired oven and hob as well as an electrical hob (just in case it's too hot to fire up the oven)! There is an indoor bathroom with hot shower, sink and composting toilet, yes we have an indoor composting toilet. Don't worry the composting toilet is state of the art, it has a fan to remove any "odd" smells and a full user guide is included in your cabin welcome pack as there are some key tips tha you need to know about using the composting toilet. The cabin sleeps two people in a luxurious double bed with a storage drawer cleverly hidden under the bed, we also have a small wardrobe for anyone who doesn't want to leave their fancy frocks behind. Heating is provided by the wood burning stove and there is an electrical radiator in the bathroom, so you wont have to worry about cold damp towels. The cabin has been designed and built to be very heat efficient so it doesn't require much heating, and when warm it holds its heat amazingly well. We have created a generous veranda so that you can enjoy the fresh air when relaxing or eating during your stay. The icing on the cake and we are very proud of this addition is the hot running outdoor bath tub. What more could anybody want than to soak in a hot bath on a summer or winters evening whilst enjoying your favourite tipple and gazing longingly at the meadow and river as it winds its way past the cabin.
    Kick back and relax on the veranda and watch the aerial displays of Swallows and House Martins whilst enjoying spectacular sunsets over the river. With sunrise at 0430 and sunset at 2330 there is so much time to explore and enjoy the local area, climb mountains or just walk through the woods and relax.

Fall asleep to the sounds of the woodland and wake up to that view! The separate shower room adjoins the main room and here you will find a double shower with a rain head mixer, heated towel rails and a loo with the most amazing view! Enjoy the luxurious fluffy towels. A separate entrance porch provides plenty of space for boots and jackets. The roundhouse is Eco-friendly, powered by solar panels, and offers you a chance to reconnect with nature without the interruption of T.V. There are therefore no three pin plug sockets, however there are USB sockets for charging mobiles etc. and a hairdryer is provided. Outside you can have a romantic soak in our wood burning hot tub which sits on a decking area adjoining the house. The view can be enjoyed from here during the day or why not have one at night under the stars or with our beautiful lighting. The deck also houses a table and chairs, perfect for Al fresco dining. All can be conveniently accessed via a glass door from the main living area. There is a gas BBQ which can be used in an adjoining area. Chilled complimentary prosecco will be ready for your arrival. Craigmaddie Muir Roundhouse is a nature lover's paradise and wildlife can be spotted from the window or why not go walking directly on to our estate where you can enjoy more stunning views. It is also in a superbly central location for touring Scotland. Milngavie is only 2 miles away and has direct train links to Glasgow and Edinburgh. Loch Lomond National Park, The Trossachs, Stirling Castle and The Kelpies, to name but a few, can be reached in under an hour. Local attractions include Glengoyne Distillery, Mugdock Country Park and The West Highland Way. There are also numerous sporting opportunities available locally such as mountain biking, golfing and horse riding. Milngavie also has numerous shops, restaurants and bars.     Hi there! We have a very spacious and quite room available in a fully equipped flat. 8 mins walk from Summerston station which can take you to Glasgow Queen Street directly. Bus stop to city centre 1 min walk from the flat. ASDA superstore 8 mins walk from the flat. Kitchen is free to be used and Breakfast (cereal and milk) is provided. Please read the house rules so we are all on the same page. We are a welcoming couple who will do their best to ensure you have a comfortable stay :)
    feel free to browse the books in the living room if you want a read. You can use the kitchen and do your laundry as well (1 load per 4 nights stay). The bathroom has a very warm shower.
    beautiful views of Kilpatrick hills from the bedroom. Dawsholm park and Maryhill park are very close and wonderful for a run or a relaxing walk. Very peaceful neighbourhood.

    The house is in a quiet hamlet, a 20 minute drive from Glasgow city centre. The house holds a good central position close to airports; Glasgow airport is 30 minutes away and Edinburgh airport is 40 minutes drive and is a good base for a variety of day trips in and around the city. Twechar is situated on the Forth and Clyde canal which is used for cycling, walking and kayaking. There are many walks in and around Twechar itself for instance the Roman Fort and easy access to the Trossachs.
    The property has an open plan living room/kitchen/diner. Upstairs, there are two double bedrooms. The master bedroom benefits from an en-suite with a walk in shower. There is also a bathroom with shower above the bath. There is a WC downstairs. To the rear of the property is a large garden with lawn which benefits from views to the Campsie hills.
    Twechar is beautifully situated on the canal with wonderful views of the glen and the Campsie hills. We love the quiet and friendly atmosphere. There is a licensed local shop for any essentials open 7 days a week. Monday -Thursday 9AM - 7 PM, Friday - Saturday 9AM - 9 PM, Sunday 9AM - 4 PM. There are many supermarkets within a 10 minute drive. Sainsbury’s or Lidl in Kirkintilloch, Co-op or Lidl in Kilsyth, Marks & Spencer, Tesco or Asda in Cumbernauld. Places to eat- Glenskirlie House and Castle is very highly rated. It scores 4.5 out of 5 on Google and Trip advisor. Dinner for two (with drinks) would be £60 - £100. 12 minute drive. Milanos express is good for pizza and burgers. Most dishes are £6. If you order a large soft drink, it comes with unlimited refills. The Mac & Cheese is super. Cost for dinner £20 -£30. 10 minute drive. Milanos Steak house is a slightly more upmarket, slightly more expensive version of Milanos express. Cost £30 - £40. 7 minute drive. The Boat house is the closest restaurant to the house. It is 5 minutes by car or, if you are feeling fit, a 45 minute stroll. There is a tow path that runs along the canal for the full length of the walk. The restaurant itself is on the banks of the canal at a small marina. It is a relaxing location to enjoy an evening tipple. The restaurant reopened in early 2019.

    'The Lomond' is a beautiful Victorian apartment located in the heart of Milngavie Town Centre, 50 metres from the start of the epic West Highland Way. Its one of two luxury apartments. West Highland Apartment has been thoroughly modernised, while retaining a number of the original features. The interior decor beautifully harmonises the contemporary and traditional, and maximises the historical detail throughout. This apartment is a comfortable, functional, yet truly luxurious place to stay.
    West Highland Apartment is situated on the first floor. You will be welcomed by a traditional Scottish 'Close' gaining access to the front door from two flights of stairs, around 20 in total. The apartment has been refurbished with the traveller in mind, but also being careful to retain some of the original Victorian features. The apartment has a brand new kitchen, including oven, hob, microwave, coffee machine, fridge, and breakfast bar. There is also a dining table in the bay window for four people to enjoy a home cooked meal. If cooking at home isn't your thing, there are several restaurants within 100 metres for you to enjoy stunning Scottish food, or just a drink. Garvies restaurant is 15 metres from the apartment front door and currently offer any guests at West Highland Apartment 20% off their food bill.     A freshly decorated upper cottage apartment. 3 guests can be accomodated in 2 rooms. The large room has a king sized bed and the smaller room has a single bed. We have a blow up bed if required. The property is occupied by my brother Craig, who is co host and will welcome you. Craig is a lovely guy and can assist with any info you require, he has a wealth of local knowledge! I live just across the road from the flat and can be contactable during your stay.
    Your own private space with full use of the shared kitchen, bathroom and living area. With exception of the bathroom, the entire flat has been modernised. The bathroom is clean, tidy and fully functioning, with bath and shower facilities, just a bit older fashioned!
    Situated in a lovely quiet neighbourhood just a short stroll from Milngavie town centre and the start of the West Highland Way. A short commute to Glasgow only 25 minutes by train and also easily accessible by bus. Regular train services to Glasgow and also direct train service to Edinburgh. Glasgow airport is a 20 minute taxi ride. Milngavie town centre has lots of lovely coffee shops and eateries. If you wish to escape to the country the moors are a five minute walk from the property with lovely walks to Mugdock Country Park or if your feeling more energetic to the Beech Tree Inn and Glengoyne Distillery.

    My apartment is on first floor, front door, very quiet neighbourhood, 5 minutes walk to Westerton train station, two local shops in 3 minutes walk, parking space. Just 15 min to city centre of Glasgow by train or by taxi, 7 min to West End: transport museum, Kelvingrow museum, university, restaurants. Incredible walk along the canal until to Botanic garden, path for cycling and running. From Westerton you have the access to Edinburgh 90 min on the train and opposite to Helensburgh and Balloch.
    My place has a living room, separate kitchen with everything you need: electric dryer, washing machine, electric hub and electric oven, central heating and one bathroom with a bath, front door and a small garden, driving space for parking. For guest there is a small bedroom with sofa bed and living room with sofa bed. I can give a space for 3-4 people if needed. Fast internet, TV, iron and iron desk. In the kitchen there is a big choice of coffee (instant, real and express coffee and choice of teas)
    Knightswood area (Glasgow) is very quiet and there are two local shops unless you are open for a 15 min walk to bigger shops like Aldi or M&S, the nearest costa coffee is in Anniesland, it is 203 in on the train. There is 2 min walk to a lovely walk along the canal. It is very nice place to rest after all day work or tourist exploring. There are take away restaurant and if you like to sit in, it is just 2-3 stops by train to get to West end for the lovely meal.

    The house is in a suburb, Knightswood, in north west Glasgow, 20 minutes from the city centre. This is a double bed in own room in a classic Glasgow house in a peaceful street. Bright with triple glazing+central heating. The shower and toilet facilities are shared. Use of kitchen and washing machine by arrangement. 5 min walk to Westerton train station, bus routes X4+16, Clyde canal cycle path. 20-30 min drive to Glasgow Airport. 10 min train ride to West Highland Way. 30 min to Loch Lomond
    Share bathroom space and also kitchen by arrangement.
    My home is in a north west suburb of Glasgow, Knightswood, 5 minutes from Forth-Clyde canal and national cycle track. By train, Loch Lomond is 30 minutes, Edinburgh 60-75 minutes and it is 15 minutes to the start of the West Highland Way at Milngavie. Universities of Glasgow, Strathclyde and Caledonia are a 20 minute journey by bus or train. Anniesland College is 1 train stop away.

    This is a bright, spacious double bedroom situated in a first floor flat in a quiet neighbourhood in the West End of Glasgow which also boasts free on street parking. Close to the City Centre, West End and Glasgow Airport, this space makes for the perfect stay for everyones wants and needs.
    Guests will have access to free parking, wifi, the bathroom and the kitchen area which will include tea/coffee making facilities and all your basic essentials and condiments. Please make yourself at home during your stay. Your bedroom has it's own Smart TV which gives you access to Netflix, Amazon Prime and all the catch up channels (BBC iplayer, ITVhub, 4od etc). There is also Sky tv in the living area. From the living room, you can also gain access to the outside balcony area where I have a table and chairs you can sit out if our good Scottish weather allows.
    This flat is situated within minutes walking distance of Knightswood park which has a pond area to feed to swans and ducks, a children's play area, a huge green area which is great for picnics and family days out and is the ideal location for anybody into their fitness who enjoy going for a run. Directly across the road from this park is the new BMX centre which was built for the 2018 European Championship and also a free outdoor gym. In this same area you will find Knightswood's 9 hole golf course. There are many local shops within walking distance including a convenience store, chinese and kebab shop.

    Our rural home has beautiful views of the Campsie Hills but is only a 10 minute drive to Glasgow City Centre and 2 minutes to the M ways for Edinburgh, Stirling and the North. Train and bus links are just a 20 minute walk away in Lenzie with regular services including a 12 minute train journey to Glasgow centre and 50 minutes to Edinburgh. You can walk, cycle and run off road from the house into Kirkintilloch and also to Glasgow, Falkirk and Edinburgh via the Forth+Clyde/Union canal paths.
    Our home is a bungalow so there are no stairs apart from one step up at the front door. The twin bedroom has been newly decorated. It has a TV, hair dryer, drawer and hanging space. There is room for a travel cot which is available to use. There is exclusive use of a very modern bathroom that is next door to the bedroom.
    The location is a perfect base for work or leisure activities. We live on a small holding so we have no immediate neighbours yet we are close to all facilities. Lenzie has a supermarket, 3 restaurants, a cafe, a chip shop, 2 take aways, a tennis club, a golf course and a hairdressers. Kirkintilloch has a leisure centre, a small park, a small museum, supermarkets and shops, lovely cafes and restaurants and access to the canal. Nearby there is the Strathkelvin Retail Outlet. The start of the West Highland Way is a 20 minute drive away in Milngavie.
