The C&O Canal runs from Cumberland all the way to Washington, DC. Jump on the trail in Hancock for a nice walk or bicycle ride.

The historic C&O Canal offers beautiful scenery and well maintained trail. Bikers, joggers and pedestrians alike utilize this space to see parts of the Cumberland area not accessible by roads.

The towpath runs from D.C. to Cumberland MD. Great for hiking/biking/running or walking

The C&O canal is accessible from many locations. Harpers Ferry, Knoxville, and Brunswick. Brunswick has the most parking and is always the easiest to get into. You can also check out the town.
