It is our local university; however, it is beyond beautiful and the gardens and grounds are breathtaking. Well worth your time.

Beautiful grounds look out over Witty's Lagoon, the Esquimalt Lagoon Migratory Bird Sanctuary and two military historic sites. Hatley Castle has a small museum and is available for tours.

Free of charge. Easy to get to. Gardens, forest, ocean, castle, Canadian military history. The castle was built by James Dunsmuir for his family. The trails are about 15 km long. The gardens are lovely!
