It's listed as a pharmacy, but it's got everything— groceries, clothes, sporting goods, housewares, etc etc. This is where you go when you need salsa, champagne, sneakers, batteries, bug spray, a beach towel AND a squirt gun, stat!

Fred Meyer is the local kroger chain. A good place for basics, with a huge 'natural foods' section because, after all, we are in Portland ;).
