For a nice meal and only a 5 minute drive or 45 minutes walk across fields and foot paths is the Pear Tree (would recommend booking in advance) in Whitley Top Ln, Whitley, Melksham SN12 8QX – 01225 704966. (You can also walk here across the fields via public footpaths).
