Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum

i recommend it because i was there a couple of months ago and it'a a good sightseeing

The intrepid is stunning if you have never been on a big battleship before. It's worth checking out and in the summer months they host free film screenings right on the top deck.

5 minute walk. Similar to the Midway museum in San Diego, this place is great if you like history.

You can go inside if you want but just enjoying the views is nice too. Plenty of parks, green grass, and walking opportunities by the water. Daytime is best but it's still safe at night as well - and not nearly as crowded.
