Cielo Rojo was just recently recognized as one of the DC areas top "Cheap Eats" by Washingtonian Magazine, and it's earned the honor with its elevated Mexican street food. And the boozy drinks pair nicely, too! You currently need a reservation and they're only serving outdoors from 3-8 pm.

Delicious “fine casual” Mexican food. House made tortillas; tasty cocktails; many vegan options. Yummy for lunch, drinks, dinner, or weekend brunch! Also good for carry out.

This is one of our favorite Mexican places in the entire DMV. Great service, we've never had a single bad thing on the menu, plenty of vegetarian items, they make their own tortillas with heirloom corn, great cocktails, and more. They have a cute outdoor patio setup for dining during COVID that is open-air. You can make patio reservations on Yelp. In addition, they have some of the best quesabirria tacos we've had in the local area. Grass-fed sustainable beef, rich consomme, crispy exterior, with lots of cheese. Just delicious!!!
