Terveyteen ja turvallisuuteen liittyvät ohjeet vieraille, jotka osallistuvat elämyksiin uudelleen avatuilla alueilla
During the COVID-19 pandemic, it’s important to keep health and safety in mind. We’ve created the following guidelines for hosts and guests of Airbnb experiences, based on guidance from the World Health Organization and the US Centers for Disease Control. You should also continue to monitor government travel advisories and follow all national and local guidelines.
Airbnb has introduced guidelines and programs to help address health and safety concerns but these measures cannot eliminate all risk. Especially if you are in a higher risk category (ex: people above the age of 65 or people with pre-existing medical conditions such as diabetes or heart disease), we recommend obtaining professional guidance and taking extra precautions when you are making the decision to book a stay or an experience on Airbnb. Learn more about health and safety guidelines for Airbnb stays.
Stay home if you’re feeling ill
To protect one another’s health and safety, cancel your reservation and stay home if you’re feeling sick. If you have, or think you have, symptoms, wait at least 72 hours after symptoms disappear before participating in an experience. If you’ve been in contact with someone who is infected, wait at least 14 days before participating in an experience.
Wear a mask
Follow social-distancing guidelines
During the entire experience, guests and hosts must maintain distance from each other as recommended by the relevant regulatory authorities (ex: 6 feet in the USA). Throughout the experience, avoid direct contact and remember to keep a safe physical distance between yourself and other people. When meeting your host and other guests, don’t shake hands or hug—instead, try a no-contact greeting.
Remember, if you’d rather do the experience with only your group, you can consider a private booking. If you feel uncomfortable gathering in groups, you can consider taking an online experience.
Keep your hands clean
Be sure to wash your hands before, during, and after your experience and bring hand sanitizer if you have it available.
- Wash your hands properly with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. Wash them before handling food, eating food, after interaction with a domestic animal or working animal, after going to the bathroom, or after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.
- If soap and water are not readily available, use a hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol. Cover your hands and rub them together until they feel dry.
- If you’re eating together, avoid family-style dining and buffets (opt for individual, plated services instead).
Guidelines for hosts
We’re also providing extensive guidelines for hosts. Read the Health and Safety Guidelines for more information on how hosts may need to adapt their experience to accommodate updated safety measures. If you choose not to comply with the guidelines, your host may prevent you from participating in the experience. You will not be eligible for a refund if Airbnb determines you did not comply with the safety guidelines.
What to do if you test positive for COVID-19
If you recently tested positive for COVID-19 or have started to feel any COVID-19 symptoms after attending an experience, contact Community Support and let us know when you tested positive and when the symptoms began.
